Happy Birthday, Reagan!!!

Reagan's birthday this year landed on Father's Day so we had a low key celebration with Grandma and Gerry.  We had to have spaghetti (Reagan's favorite food) and since it was her birthday we just took her shirt off and let her go at it.   Notice all the sauce in her eyebrows!!  I know all mom's say this but I can't believe that she is 1 already!

After supper we opened gifts and Reagan was very excited about all of them.  Not as excited as Kasey though.  She took her favorite up to the table to play with it out of Reagan's reach!  We did have cake but Reagan stuck her finger in it, made a face and didn't eat it.  Kasey did the same thing!!! Crazy girls--more for me I guess!

We also had her 1 year appointment.  She is the same exact height as Kasey at this age--31 inches, which puts her at the 98% percentile.  Her weight though is a bit different than Kasey's--she came in at 23lbs 11ounces or the 87th percentile.  At Kasey's 1 year, she was 19lbs 11oz.  Reagan is the same heigh but a full 4lbs heavier than Kasey!  I still can't believe how different our girls are in this way.

This is one of the few pictures I took at Reagan's birthday bash.  We had a bounce house and about 70 people over and it was so much fun!!  Kasey was in the bounce house for almost 5 straight hours and collapsed into bed exhausted that night.  Reagan had a lot of fun too and was maybe a weee bit unsupervised due in part to the delicious cold beer.  She ended up the night with Dorito cheese all over her hair and face and some very dirty clothes.  Oh well!  She had a great time!

All of our ride on toys got a lot of use--here is Clara and Desmond doing a great job of sharing!

Charlie in the bounce house!!

While I am sad to see the baby stage go, she is really fun right now.  She can say Mamama and Da.  She waves goodbye, puckers up for kisses, walks, loves to say Uh-Oh and loves her sister!  Her favorite things are going for walks in the stroller, eating and sitting in small chairs (weird but true--she loves small, kid sized chairs!)  She is also not one to be pushed around, she lets her desires be knows!  This past weekend she and Kasey were having a tug of war over a dress (not the last time, I am sure) and while Kasey was playing, Reagan was serious and it was neck and neck for a while--she is a brute!  We also taught Kasey from the beginning that Reagan was a baby and if she hits her, it was an accident.  Well, recently, Reagan has been doing it on purpose but poor Kasey still thinks that it is because she is a baby so she just laughs it off.....what a good sister!
