Summer...where are you going!

Half way through July and I realize I haven't updated this in ages.  I post more on Facebook these days so this has kind of dropped to the wayside.  Anywho, here are some fun pictures from our summer so far....4th of July, Strawberry picking, the new Carousel at the Zoo, hanging out with Grandpa Dave on his boat and tractor!

Saturday Adventures

So, I try to plan a Saturday adventure on the weekends --something to do that is interesting and we have never done before.  A couple Saturdays ago, we went to Circus Juventis, which is a circus school.  They had an open house and the girls got to get "circus eyes" painted on and try out some fun stuff!

 Another weekend we did the Wabasha Cave tours, I didn't get many pictures but it was pretty cool!  We had never been and it was interesting.  Probably wouldn't bring a 3 year old on a 45 minute guided tour again but, live and learn.  

This Saturday we went to the Mill Ruins park.  Not sure how I didn't know this existed because it was very cool.  Lots of stuff to look at and places to run, all right along the river which was running VERY fast right now and was cool to look at. 

Easter!!

Wow! It has been so long since I have been on here that I needed a password reminder!  Anywho, this Easter we went up to Alexandria to visit my parents and had a great time, the weather was super!  We tried a different method of decorating eggs and it was so perfect, not messy and still fun.  Using crayons on warm eggs! The crayons melt and then harden, very cool!

Poor Sammy, we were throwing his toy for him and it got stuck in a tree.  So a certain genius who shall remain nameless threw a broom up there to get it out and it got stuck.  So, they tried again and got another broom stuck!  We had to wait until Grandpa got home to fix the problem!! Great weekend!

Guess who got her ears pierced?!

For an early 6th Birthday gift, Grandpa Dave and Grandma Carol got Kasey her ears pierced.  She loves them and feels pretty grown up and fancy in them! No tears, either!

A little fake Summer when it is -5 outside

Since Kasey is home this week, we are not letting some cold weather get in our way! We headed up for some warmth and humidity at the Como Zoo Conservatory

 In case you are wondering why Kasey has her arm out like that, it is to stop Reagan from photo bombing her again!

Kasey is a White Belt Kung Fu Master!

I was so proud of her, she got up in front of the judges at her Kung Fu belt test and did great, Matt and I think she got a little robbed in the scoring but regardless, she passed! I was so proud, she was so confident and was trying so hard, so cute!

Thanksgiving Cupcakes and Playdate

Reagan had a little friend over today to play and we decided to make a batch of Turkey cupcakes for Thanksgiving. 

 They had a lot of fun and they were busy for a solid 30mins :)

First Day of School

It went off without a hitch!  Kasey is in all day Kindy and loving it, although she is very tired and Reagan is in preschool and is also very happy!
